Drip Depot Review From a Raving Fan

This article is a review of Drip Depot, an online retailer of DIY irrigation supplies.

If you’ve been gardening in the South for any length of time, you know the problems we face when it comes to rainfall. It’s often either a gully-washer or the Sahara, with little in between. Given the size of my garden, it would be an Everest-sized chore to manually water my plants when rainfall is lacking. If you’re in a similar situation, drip irrigation is a must! I hope this review of Drip Depot is helpful.

If you’ve started to explore the world of drip irrigation systems, you know it can be overwhelming. How much do I need? Is it hard to install? How much water do I plan to use? Can I afford it? Asking Google these questions led me to Drip Depot’s YouTube channel. Their incredibly helpful instructional videos made me a believer! From buying to install, they make the process unbelievably simple.

To get started, you’ll need to know the square footage of your garden. That’s it! From there, the exceptional customer service team will walk you through the entire buying process. They tell you how much material you’ll need and what type of emitter to use based on your soil type. Their website has loads of helpful information, from product FAQ to troubleshooting.

So what about installation? It’s easy, to the point you’ll be sick that you waited so long to do it. While I could have used an extra set of hands to hold the material in place, I installed the entire system by myself in a few hours.

I can’t speak for how it is now, given the current supply chain issues, but I ordered my kit during the height of the pandemic and received it in a few days. That’s impressive given Drip Depot is located in California and I’m in North Carolina. Reordering is easy too. I love that I can look back at my previous orders and know I’m getting the exact pieces I need if additions are necessary.

A year in, and I’ve had no issues. There have been no warps from the sun. I drained my lines at the end of the season and left them out over winter with no problems.

The best part? Candy is included with your order! That’s right, and Tootsie Pops to boot! A nice touch, but it’s their amazing products that have turned this gardener into a lifetime customer.
